The Challenge
When Pilgrims opened their new location in Cronulla, they needed a shading system that could:

Comply with council regulations prohibiting permanent structures

To meet these needs, we designed, manufactured, and installed 8 custom Screentex Wire Guide outdoor blinds with closed headboxes. Each blind was tailored with:
Soltis 88 fabric in Harmony for durability and design cohesion
0.75mm clear PVC inserts through the centre, ensuring uninterrupted, glass-like views of the ocean
Powder-coated headboxes and base bars in Duralloy Evening Haze, blending seamlessly with the venue’s architecture
Why Screentex Wire Guide?
The choice of Screentex Wire Guide was key to this project’s success:
Council Compliance: Permanent systems such as Screentex Zip Outdoor Blinds were not permitted.
Safety in Wind: Unlike Screentex Classic Outdoor Blinds, the Wire Guide system anchors the base bar with stainless steel cables, preventing dangerous swinging in high winds.
Premium Performance: Guests enjoy uninterrupted comfort and views, while the venue benefits from a system designed to perform season after season.
